The historic Parker Homestead shown above is the site of the upcoming As it Grows…A Farm to Table Event which will benefit our two organizations, The Parker Homestead-1665 and Monmouth County Historical Association. We are working together to preserve and protect our vibrant, shared Monmouth County History.
This special evening is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 6:30pm – 11pm on the grounds of the historic Parker Homestead property, at 235 Rumson Road, Little Silver, New Jersey. As it Grows…A Farm to Table Event will commemorate the state of New Jersey’s 350th Anniversary in 2014, and will also be a celebration of New Jersey’s rich agriculture and farming history.
Guests will be treated to a delectable menu designed by the David Burke Group, featuring an abundance of locally sourced food from nearby farms. Silent and live auctions led by Nicholas Dawes from Heritage Auction Galleries in New York will feature unique and exciting auction packages, and live music by Rip Tide and The Bobby Lynch Band will entertain and have our guests dancing under the stars. Tickets start at $250 and can be purchased here.
The As it Grows…Farm to Table Event will be the first of its kind in our area. Together we are chairing the event and look forward to seeing you at The Parker Homestead on September 13.
