Valerie Smaldone is a 5-time Billboard Magazine Award winner and is well known for her unprecedented success holding the #1 on air position in the New York radio market. She has hosted, produced and created numerous nationally syndicated programs featuring in-depth interviews with top recording artists such as Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, and Mariah Carey, among others. As a celebrity interviewer, she has worked for the Tony Awards, and has conducted numerous on-camera interviews with Broadway stars, as well as hosted features for the organization. She developed and hosted "Broadway Bulletin" a daily video feature about theatre. Valerie was recently featured on Lifetime's "The Balancing Act", as well as The PIX Morning News.

As a voice artist, Valerie can be heard on a variety of commercials and television promos. Her voice has been featured on NBC, CBS, Lifetime, and Investigation Discovery narrating the new series, "Fatal Encounters", among many other channels. Valerie has won numerous awards during her two decades on the air including the Golden Apple Award for Broadcast Excellence and Radio and Records’ Adult Contemporary Personality of the Year. As president of her production company, Valerie has produced dozens of shows including: An Evening with Ray Romano, Cyndi Lauper’s Broadway Welcome Party, An Intimate Evening with Phoebe Snow, 'One Wicked Night with Stephen Schwartz' and numerous live, on stage interviews with compelling celebrities like author Mary Higgins Clark, foodie Gael Greene and Broadway star James Barbour. Most recently, Valerie has launched a new "Legends of Music" series for the 92nd Street Y and will be interviewing Cyndi Lauper live on stage in Fall, 2012.
Valerie is a sought after speaker, host and emcee, as well as corporate presenter and adjunct instructor at the School of Visual Arts. She is currently writing a book.
